Amidst beautiful gardens, see a 33-foot stainless steel statue of Jesus Christ and a 30-foot statue of Mary, Queen of Peace. Both statues built by Dale Lamphere, nationally renowned sculptor. The statues weigh approximately five tons. The 53-acre site is located in a natural woodsy setting in northeastern Sioux City. Fragrant flowers and plants native to lowa's changing seasons highlight the Queen of Peace statue. The statue of Jesus stands on the" altar" of the Outdoor Cathedral. Seven years in the making, Jerry Traufler's Last Supper is a hand..carved wood sculpture located in the St Joseph Center at Trinity Heights. Using the DaVinci classic work of art as his basis, Jerry then used local models from his hometown, LeMars, Iowa, to create his images of the twelve apostless and Jesus. AD of the figures are life-sized and seated at a wooden tabk that spans twenty-two feet in length. Library and Gift Shop available. For more information: Phone (712) 239-8670
